About Thurso Surf

Thurso Surf began when childhood friends Shenglong and Yu reconnected 15 years later over a shared love of paddleboarding. Yu brought years of SUP industry experience. Shenglong brought an engineering mindset and a curiosity for how things could be made better. Together, they set out to build the kind of gear they wished existed.

What started as a small Canadian startup has grown into a global water-sports brand built on thoughtfully designed boards, complete ready-to-paddle packages, and an unwavering focus on customer satisfaction. From inflatable SUPs to surfboards, bodyboards, kayaks, paddles, and accessories, everything we make is guided by the same idea: premium-feeling gear should be more accessible.

We are here to help more people step away from routine, connect with nature, and reconnect with themselves on the water.
