SUP Explorer – The Best Places to Stand Up Paddle Board
Wyaralong Dam is the newest dam in South East Queensland, completed in 2011. The lake and surrounding areas provide fantastic recreation facilities and has become a major tourism draw card for the Scenic Rim region. It has become very popular for non powered water sports including canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, boating and fishing. As well as the water sports the lake offers extensive bush walks ranging from short treks around the dam wall to more strenuous hikes to the top of Mt Joyce with stunning views over the lake. There is so much to explore on this lake including the paddle up winery which is located on the shores of the lake.
