SUP Explorer – The Best Places to Stand Up Paddle Board
Off the west coast of mainland Scotland is an archipelago referred to as the Hebrides. Here you will find the island of South Uist. The west side of South Uist offers crystal clear waters and about 20 miles of white sand beaches right on the Atlantic Ocean. When the conditions are right, the water is calm and flat. Keep an eye out for local wildlife, namely seals and sea birds. Always remember to keep a safe and respectful distance from any animals.

- Parking is possible on the machair (field or flat land) at different points along the beach
- Find great spots to stop at picnic benches in Garrynamonie and Halan. Just keep in mind they might be busier than other locations.
- Check the tides before going and be prepared for a long walk if the tide is out
