      First, determine whether you need a replacement center fin or side fins. Thurso Surf offers Quick Lock and Click Fin options that install securely without tools, making fin replacement fast and simple.

      If you want better tracking and more glide on flat water or touring adventures, a touring fin is a performance upgrade over a standard center fin. For shallower rivers, lakes, or rocky areas, shorter and more flexible fins can help reduce snagging while maintaining control.
      SUP fins help your paddle board track straighter, stay more stable, and feel more controlled on the water. They reduce side-to-side wobble, improve directional stability, and help the board handle different water conditions more smoothly.
      It is possible to paddle without a fin, but it is not recommended. Without fins, your SUP loses directional stability, making it harder to paddle straight and much more likely to drift or spin.

      A proper fin setup, including the center fin and side fins when needed, keeps your board balanced and tracking smoothly for a safer and more enjoyable paddling experience.
