I use this if more then one person is coming paddling or fishing with me. Sometime I find it easier to inflate my boards at home and toss them on the roof. Very secure, easy to set up and take down. I can put the mounts on and string the boards in 5-7 minutes.
Super easy to install this. Simply place down the pads where you want them (we needed to move them further apart after getting the kayak up there to make sure we weren't denting the hood of the car with the weight of the kayak), loop the straps through the car and tighten them really well so the pads don't wiggle wiggle they hold, and then put on your vessel and strap er down with the provided straps through the loops on top of the pads. Easy peasy! Held well on a 75 MPR test!
We have used these for our luggage, carry case thing and TWO kayaks!They are well designed and well made and does not damage your car in any way.
I love these roof pads and use them to transport my kayaks and paddle boards. My car doesn't have a roof rack, so I've been using foam blocks and ratchet straps. These pads are much more secure and durable. They also are a lot longer than foam blocks and provide more support. I like how the straps secure the pads to the car. This makes them more stable and decreases vibration. The straps sometimes still vibrate in the wind, but if you put a single twist in them, it solves the problem. The cam locks have a cover over them so nothing can cause them to accidentally loosen, which is a nice touch. This set comes with a storage bag that helps keep everything organized and lets you transport it easier. These pads are a little more expensive than other options on the market, but they're definitely worth investing in if your car doesn't have a roof rack.
I just used this roof rack to move my sofa bed with my own SUV. Very easy to use, It comes with 2 straps to secure what ever you are moving with the Rack and also it includes a storage case for everything. Loved it
Well I pumped my inflatable paddle board and place it on the universal roof rack firm then when I learned it I went down the road a little bit probably to the next block or two probably at 20 or 30 miles an hour and I came back this universal roof rack works great I like it a lot especially when it carries ladders skis snowboards all that stuff I like it a lot
