Paddle board paddles are single-bladed and designed for paddlers who are standing, while kayak paddles are double-bladed for continuous strokes and seated paddling. A SUP paddle is easier to maneuver from a standing position, while a kayak paddle is built for a different paddling style.

It is generally not recommended for traditional stand-up paddling. However, some convertible paddles can switch between SUP and kayak configurations, especially for use with SUP-kayak hybrid boards.

If you paddle frequently or value performance, yes. Carbon fiber paddles are much lighter and can reduce fatigue, especially on longer trips or more demanding sessions.
