You get what you pay for. Not a total bust.

Doesn’t offer as much stability as the more expensive soft tops (ones you might rent or take a lesson with) but it’s decent, especially for lighter people/kids. I’m 5’4”, 145lbs and a beginner surfer (also age 35 so no spring chicken lol). I tried this board and for someone like me it would have been a total waste of money. I can use the more expensive 7ft soft tops but imo this one just didn’t have enough volume or width for me…But it was great for my 12yr old beginner!

Comes apart immediately

I bought this a while ago so I could teach some friends but couldn't use it because I left for a deployment. Came back last week and went out the last 2 days with it. It was used yesterday for 1 hour and today for 2 hours. And as you can see, it's completely unglued from the sides and coming apart. Really disappointed and irritated with how cheap this is made. Please do not waste your money. It may look cute but it's trash (this was also in North Carolina waves where they're about 1-3 ft tops and very soft).

This board is ideal for your first waves, learning to surf, and practicing with different types of waves. Being 7' long, it's perfect because you can practice walking on the board and playing without fear of getting hit since it's very soft and lightweight, making it very easy to transport and store anywhere.The design is unique, retro, sublime, and elegant, and the color combination is perfect. Everyone has a Wavestorm, but this design, at least here in Uruguay, makes it more identifiable and recognizable. Everyone is fascinated with the colors and the wood-like deck; some people have even mistaken it for a fiberglass board.I would definitely buy it again without hesitation.This brand guarantees quality. I've had a Thurso Waterwalker SUP 10.2 for over 5 years, and it still looks brand new, with flawless colors just like the first day.Highly recommended brand and products.

Great board for the price, very happy with it !

I received this board as an early Bday present and used it yesterday 10/17 and loved it. I was on an 8.5' foamy board and ready to progress. I'd say I'm an intermediate beginner, I've mastered the white water waves and ready to drop into a green, unbroken wave. ( 5'5'' 120lbs). I rode the THURSO 7' soft top and was surprisingly impressed!! I'd never heard of Thurso except for SUP Boards. I popped right up on my first wave. For women and kids it's nice b/c I can actually carry my board b/c it's not too wide. It weighs only 10lbs too. You lose a tad on stability, but it's manageable. Get your proper pop up stance down and you'll be fine. I can't WAIT to get out on it again... This is a great board for a good price !! WTG Thurso ! And the colors make it a nice looking board too. Worth it !

Good for 9-12 year olds

Arrived as and when expected. Fins easy to put on but came with screws of different lengths. One screw fell off first day using. When contacting seller, immediately responded but will be waiting at least one week for the replacement parts.

Wear what you are the most comfortable in! Clothing that allows free movement is best, and clothing that won’t be too heavy when wet.

For flat water paddling you will need one centre fin. For any type of waves, or paddle surfing, look at 3, 4 and 5 fin set.
