Almost perfect, but not...

First and foremost, I found this SUP Kayak Seat to be well designed, easy to install and adjust, comfortable and reasonably priced. After using it for two days, problems developed with the two front strap clips! One separated into two pieces and the other became "stretched" out (See pics). This occurred while simply sitting on the SUP enjoying the surrounding views. Clearly, the clips failed due to excessive force (e.g., defined as enough to make them fail). I am about 5'11" and 172lbs and I may have been sitting back in the seat vs. more upright, but one would not think this would cause such damage to the clips. I am not planning to warranty the seat, as I do think it is a good seat. The clips, however, are obviously lacking and I will be replacing them with ones that will be much stronger (Something for Thurso Surf to consider in their future manufacturing process)...

Seat pad is super-comfy, back rest is poor quality

During the first use two of the carabiners broke. I changed them to proper stronger, standard carabiners (not really meant to be used for this purpose).

Then during the second use the material got torn.

We’ve recently upgraded the carabiners on the seat to a more durable version, which should be much stronger than the original ones. However, we hadn’t anticipated issues with the backrest tearing, as this hasn’t been a common problem. I’ve already shared your feedback with our product team to review and improve the quality of the backrest in future versions.

Stronger latches please

I’m 6’ 220lbs and after the first paddle the front latches were bending open. I replaced them with something stronger.

Hybrid Paddel

Mit dem Paddel bin ich sehr zufrieden, es ist gut in der Handhabung und vom Gewicht her nicht schwer. Was ich gut finde es zu kombinieren, man braucht keine 2 Paddel Set‘s und kann ganz einfach umstecken, entweder als Subpaddel oder als Doppelpaddel verwendbar zum rudern, top :-)

First time using a SUP. I bought the Tranquility Yoga SUP specifically for stability for exercising. Haven’t fallen off yet, lol! I feel confident on the this very well made board. Plus it’s beautifully designed.

Versatile. Glad I bought it.

Ultra light. I thought the box it came in was empty. Took 5 minutes to get it adjusted as I wanted but comfortable enough and I can place mats under it to lift it more if I wanted. Versatile. I've got 2 very different paddle boards and it easily transfers and adjusts to both.
The free shipping to this island where Masset is located is strongly appreciated. No free shipping from Amazon here; they charge about $150 for the smallest of parcels. Thurso Surf seems to run a pretty good business.
