SUP Explorer – The Best Places to Stand Up Paddle Board

Paddlers will appreciate the stunning white sands and sapphire blue waters of Eriskay as well as views of neighboring Barra. Eriskay ponies roam freely on the island.

A causeway now connects South Uist to Eriskay making it easier than ever to visit this beautiful island. This is the easiest location I have found to park and take the board down to the beach. I visited a number of coves and beaches around the island. I did not venture out to Barra.

SUP Explorer Tips For Your Visit to Eriskay

  • The area for parking is limited. I reversed the car in.
  • Low tide was not a problem.
  • Choose a day when winds are low for a more comfortable paddle.
